Here’s a bit of analysis from @jburnmurdoch.ft.com showing chatbots are less likely to serve up misinformation than social media. So if this is how people are going to start consuming information it may be a moderating force towards factualness. Who thought that LLMs might be a force for truth?!
Unfounded claims abound on social media but are rejected by Al chatbots % of social media posters, general population and Al chatbot responses that support each statement

Petition: Require Parliament’s vote & an impact assessment on the UK-US trade deal
We are concerned the UK-US trade deal could be implemented without a vote, consultation or impact assessment. We believe it affects food, farming, health, and data standards. We believe Parliament must be allowed to assess its consequences and vote before any further changes are made.

First, a well-schooled Zelensky handled his Ordeal by Oval Office deftly, with plenty of thanks and flattery and earning warm if vague words of support from Trump 1/7

This is one of the best ideas I've heard in ages.
Reddit post on r/technology about young people and AI: "I recently heard about a teacher who instead of trying to circumvent students using AI, which is impossible, she made assignments by going "ask ChatGPT to write a report on this subject, and then research how and why it's wrong".

Not only did the students discover that ChatGPT is extremely wrong a lot of the time, it also lead them to realise that they should not use it as a primary source".

Yarvin's vision: “society should be dealt with through a 'humane alternative to genocide - one that removes 'undesirable elements' from the public sphere without any of the moral stigma' of mass murder. His proposed solution? A VR prison where individuals are ‘waxed like a bee larva into a cell'"
Musk, the memo says, is breaching dozens of US federal laws in an attempt to consolidate centralised control of America's information, financial and political systems, simultaneously creating major systemic financial risks.
The end goal of this movement is shocking. The memo notes, for instance, that the neo-reactionary movement advocates a form of "techno-monarchism" where the CEO-ruler uses "data systems, artificial intelligence, and advanced algorithms to manage the state, monitor citizens, and implement policies. Yarvin's vision for society is chillingly explicit; he suggests that unproductive members of society should be dealt with through a 'humane alternative to genocide - one that removes 'undesirable elements' from the public sphere without any of the moral stigma' of mass murder. His proposed solution? A VR prison where individuals are
'waxed like a bee larva into a cell'"
The memo calls on all members of Congress and the Senate, whether Republican or Democrat, to take urgent action to face off what it describes as a frontal assault on the very foundations of American democracy being led by Elon Musk.
"The Founding Fathers fought a revolution to free America from the grip of an unaccountable monarch.
Today, that struggle is being replayed-not against a king, but against the wealthiest man seeking to centralize power without oversight backed by radical extremists...
Unless Congress acts decisively, Musk's parallel power structure will continue to entrench itself, sidelining the executive branch, eroding institutional checks, and undermining national security."
