This is obviously stupid, but the really strange thing is that RFK believes trust is a feature of totalitarianism. Totalitarianism has nothing to do with trust. It demands obedience. Democracy, on the other hand, requires trust: you elect people you trust to lead you.

So I‘m just collecting stuff here. The 22-year-old who allegedly shot Charlie Kirk came from a full-blown #MAGA family. His relationship with them was so good that he confessed the murder to his father who then turned him in.

That would stand in contrast with Robinson's family. They have yet to make a formal statement to the media, but authorities said it was Tyler's father, Matt Robinson, who convinced him to turn himself in.
Tyler's grandmother, Debbie Robinson, 69, told the Daily Mail on Friday that the 48-year-old father is a Trump supporter.
"My son, his dad, is a Republican for Trump, she told the outlet. "Most of my family members are Republican. I don't know any single one who's a Democrat."

1/ Why is your foreign policy friend mad about Trump/Putin? A lot of how international relations and diplomacy work in practice sounds cringe or fawning when you say it out loud. One example is that for a foreign leader, a meeting with the US President is a privilege you must negotiate for.
