Hot tip that is probably actually pretty lukewarm but i currently feel like a genius: if you want to wear earrings but your ears aren't pierced and you hate the feeling of clip-ons, you can get ear cuffs that go around the back of your ear instead. So much comfier omg.

It is a really stark and frustrating contrast the way that White people get to "learn as we go" and "work on doing better". Meanwhile Black people are fired for doing too well, trying to bring in best practices and we won't even be hired if we don't already have the knowledge.

In May, We submitted a proposal to PAX to support the Intersection space, and we learned weeks ago that our proposal was accepted. We do not currently have the capacity or resources to recreate its previous scope of programming and services, and we don't want to promise something we cannot responsibly deliver.

We know this transition comes during a complicated moment, and we understand that people may have questions or concerns. Our goal is not to replace that work, but to help ensure there is still a space at PAX where marginalized and stigmatized members of the gaming community can find connection and community.

This is a new chapter for the room, and we intend to approach it with care, honesty, and respect for the work that came before us!

Something I don't see people talk enough about is Dolly Parton's Imagination Library that supplies free books to kids from birth to age 5. She was a wonderful lady who truly lived her values. She could have done anything with her wealth, and she chose to give back. We lost someone precious today.
