9,500 years old! And still intact! A Mesolithic woven baskets from Spain’s Cueva de los Murciélagos (“Cave of the Bats”) are Europe’s oldest known basketry. Thanks to the cave’s near‑zero humidity, organic materials didn’t decay, preserving several baskets for more than 9,000. 🧵/1/2 📷 me

These cuts disproportionately target the arts & humanities: the Business School loses only three courses; the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures loses 48 – many of these are joint degrees, removing the optional breadth of study which has always been one of the appeals of a Scottish degree
