I've described Alfasys' PS1 RPGs as being RPGs for RPG devs and nowhere is that more true than Gunparade March. I almost never use the word "masterpiece" since it's so hackneyed, but if ever there was one for systems-driven storytelling, GPM is it, as barely held together as parts of it often are.

All I've wanted for years was a re-release of Dangaioh (the OVA, Not the movie) with a proper translation. It's a Quintessential 80s OVA worked on by Toshiki Hirano, Shoji Kawamori & Masami Obari! There was even a 30th anniversary edition a few years back but never left Japan 😭
