The 9 games that shaped my taste. With the exception of Runescape I still play all of these fairly frequently. If there had been a tenth slot I would have also included either Zoids: Battle Legends, or Custom Robo. Crystal wasn't my first Pokemon, but it remains my favorite to this day.

I have been watching Dark Shadows recently and was struck by a similar observation. The whole show is an exercise in preventing the characters from ever asking the obvious question, or answering it once it has been asked. Every episode is an exercise in revealing as little information as possible.

I did not realize that Stephen Sommers also directed Van Helsing (2004), and Deep Rising (1998). Apparently he loves to make movies where a beautiful Himbo fights monsters while Kevin J O'Conner plays a weird little guy, and that is very much my kinda movie.

Today is the Bisexual Day of Visibility, so of course I returned to the foundational texts and watched The Mummy (1999). It is a genuine crime that they didn't turn this into a whole franchise of globe-trotting supernatural pulp adventures (don't talk to me about the sequels). 4/5 stars. 🎬📽️⚰️🪲🧟

A friend gave me one of these 5lb gummy bears for my birthday one year and I took it with me on a family vacation, cutting slices off of it with an antique Navy diver's knife. Took me about two weeks to get through the whole thing.

I got the job! It's another pet retail position but the company seems a lot better than the ones I have worked for previously, based on the interview I did and the brands that they stock. They're starting me at 18/hr too, which is more than I was hoping for at this point.

Had a very promising interview today, and they say they'll contact me with a decision within a week, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic. It seems like a decent company and the starting wage is better than what I've made at my last two jobs.

Sitting on my ass for two months straight has left me in a lot worse shape than I thought. We only did one property; eleven buildings, and I'm fucking dying. It doesn't help that the heat index is still over 100 at 10pm.
