You can tell we're a country of idiots by how easily we're convinced to debate the 1% of trans people who want the right to live their lives authentically and safely and don't negatively impact our lives instead of the billionaires who spend every day making our lives genuinely tangibly worse.

I ordered a large pizza for dinner and the delivery guy said 'enjoy the party,' so I had to yell 'food's here guys' into my completely empty hallway.

What's the story with Braxton Garrett? Seems like the Cubs could use him. He's got to be a better option than Ferguson and Thornton right now.

Not sure I'm all in on the Cubs moves today, but it's certainly been a "flurry of activity" as Pat Hughes might say.

Wait. They all shake hands at the end? What are we even doing here? He's the US President suing you for $20 billion for reporting on the birthday card he sent his friend the pedophile in which he drew a naked girl & mused about secrets. And they all shake hands?

Is there still something wrong with Edward Cabrera or is he just not good? Are the Cubs bad at evaluating a player's health or talent or both?

Trump & Blanche’s heist of $1.8 billion to hand out to their supporters who committed crimes must not be a 1-2 day story. It should be talked about every day until it is stopped. Republicans should be asked about it every interview. Trump should be asked about it every day.

Why didn't Trump's Immigration Policies remove this man? A judge even asked them to. This is a very clear failure on Stephen Miller and the Trump administrations immigration policies.
New details regarding Joachin’s immigration history have emerged alongside the criminal charges. Federal records indicate that Joachin, a Haitian national, first entered the United States in August 2022.

While a federal judge issued a final order of removal against him that same year, he remained in the country under Temporary Protected Status (TPS). That protected status expired earlier in 2024.

Wise words from Spain's Prime Minister: “The momentary relief cannot make us forget the chaos, the destruction, and the lives lost. The govt of Spain will not applaud those who set the world on fire just because they show up with a bucket. What is needed now: diplomacy, international law and PEACE.”

Okay, good. But what about all the people who were terminated by their local PBS or Public Radio stations because of the loss of federal funding? Because that absolutely happened! CPB is gone now. This is the correct ruling, but what good can come of it?

So weird how Bessent is always talking about framing. Framing is a way of communicating information to shape public perception. It's something that is talked about in strategy meetings before tv appearances, not...during tv appearances. I guess he expects the media to help with this?

we're supposed to believe the Trump administration has spent more than a year doing a mass deportation of the worst of the worst criminals, but also there are sleeper cells of undocumented Iranians in the country that constitute a grave national security threat. the math ain't mathing.

Why Iran’s vital Kharg Island oil hub is still untouched by US-Israel bombers
While some argue for destroying the terminal though which 90% of Iran’s oil exports flow, others caution of a global market ‘tailspin’ Kharg Island – through which 90% of Iran’s oil exports flow – is arguably the country’s most sensitive economic target but the export terminal has so far remained untouched throughout the US-Israel bombing campaign. Experts say bombing or capturing the site with US forces would be likely to cause a sustained increase to already surging oil prices, as it would amount to taking the entirety of Iran’s daily crude exports offline. amazing how the entire machine can pivot within 24 hours. no need to slowly upsell the argument; just issue new marching orders
Matt Walsh tweeted last year: "We've spent the last 25 years bringing "freedom" and "democracy" to countries around the globe while our own country has been systematically invaded and now our largest cities are run by foreigners and communists. If you want to know why I'm so avowedly non-interventionist, this is why."

Then he tweeted today: ""This is a war for oil!!!!!"

First of all, the "war" lasted like 90 minutes. Second, going to war to secure vital resources for your own people is totally legitimate. Why should we allow some third world communist shithole to control trillions of dollars worth of oil?"Laura Loomer tweeted last year: "I’m America First, I don’t support “Regime Change”. I went on @Bannons_WarRoom to talk about Chinese aggression in Venezuela and why we need to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign Islamic terrorist organization."

Then she tweeted yesterday: "Maduro has arrived at the DEA office in Manhattan. He was transported in an armored motorcade after being transported in a blindfold via helicopter & then by plane to New York after his compound in Caracas was raided by US Special Forces.

Proud to be an American today!

USA 🇺🇸"Catturd tweeted last year: "Name one U.S. inspired regime change that hasn’t ended in absolute disaster."

Then he tweeted yesterday: "Venezuela is now more free than New York City."Will Chamberlain tweeted last year: "The Republican Party is no longer the party of regime change and endless wars

If you want to be its standard-bearer that is a non-negotiable position"

Then he tweeted yesterday: "I can think of few better uses of my tax dollars than black-bagging the head of a foreign narco-trafficking organization that enriches itself by addicting and poisoning my fellow Americans"

In all the hubbub about Trump's indifference to the man fainting, has anyone pointed out how concerning it is that a patient taking an appetite-suppressing drug just fainted like that? Doesn't say much for the safety or effectiveness of the drug.

Does the Speaker of the House know what's going on in the country? It's not clear that he does, as Mike Johnson's communication strategy seems to rely heavily on being unaware. When faced with questions he should be able to answer, he has a reliable response: "I don't know."

I feel that something symbolic with fate occurred with tRump and the escalator. He started in power descending on a escalator. Now he was seen unable to ascend on an escalator. His days in power are ending.
