The genius of the song lyric, “I came to make a bang, yeah! BOOM!” is if you are at all confused about what he means by “make a bang” he immediately clarifies by yelling, “BOOM!” So you’re like, “Oh he means a boom bang.” Super elegant lyricism.

It’s so utterly bizarre to me David Lynch’s Blue Velvet is just a movie on Tubi you can watch online for free like it’s nothing. When I was a kid obtaining a copy of that movie was an ODYSSEY. It felt legit dangerous. People WHISPERED the title. You had to like, know a shady video store guy.
