Did you know that there’s a Toys R Us in Braintree, Massachusetts?

Cover of Lana del Rey’s “Did You Know There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” which is just her looking off into the distance in front of a car wash

still can't believe that this was how the WB/Paramount situation ended

Sailor Moon "my job here is done" meme but it's Gavin Newsom saying that line, and Sailor Moon replies "but you ruined everything."

The Aaahh!!! Real Monsters characters.

A scary candy cane with lips and eyelashes
A creepy gremlin with brains & wit
A hairy goblin that has to hold its eyeballs in its hands

They love each other

The ironic thing is if Bluey was made inside the standard studio system and was forced to adhere to the same strict rules most studios enforce for their preschool programming it would never have been successful.

I’m glad I grew out of hating media just because it’s ~popular~. I’m finding that attitude a lot especially around books now that I’m getting back into reading. Life is short, there is no cringe! Enjoy whatever media you want as long as it’s not actively harming anybody.

Every “THIS IS THE ADOBE KILLER!!!” social media post misses the part where Adobe is industry standard not because it’s the best but because it’s what everyone already uses and you need compatibility and consistency to work professionally.

There’s also a very nice through-line of the different father/son relationships the main guy has with his step-dad and birth father, and how he loves both of them equally and will burn down the world for either

Like, the last five-ish episodes are all picking up threads from earlier in the series that I thought were just monster of the week so I’m like “I…half remember this happening?”

100

Matt Makes Mermaid Movies @mattbr.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

This show is a LOT more serious than I knew when I started and it’s honestly really impressive for a syndicated 90s cartoon, and I’m a little surprised it doesn’t seem to have even a little cult following

100

Matt Makes Mermaid Movies @mattbr.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

okay yeah this show is definitely out of order and was definitely written by a homosexual man which I appreciate

Econ 101

Person one: Taught my kids how socialism works. Let them trick or treat while I stayed home. Then took all their candy. Socialism 101.

Person two : The socialism part is where the community came together and fed your kids for free. The capitalism part is where you made them do all the work and stole from them.
