Oh my goodness - I also found the instructions on how to use a PC. Pre-windows, obviously! This would have been my first ever time using a computer! It explains that the return is is referred to as the enter key 😂

As the boy is off to Uni this weekend to study maths, I thought I’d dig out my old first year notes (1991) to show him. “What, it’s all on paper?” Yes, it’s all on paper. Written in fountain pen. I feel ridiculously old.

Getting to know year 7’s today. One girl said she’s into unicycle hockey and apparently that’s a real thing! She was sat next to another girl who was teaching herself Klingon. I think we’re going to have a lot of fun with this year group!

Burnham is not even PM yet and my timeline is full of criticism. Such negativity from all sides. Whether you like someone or not, you have to give them a chance to settle in. Working under such hostile conditions is unsustainable for anyone. No wonder we’ve had 7 PMs in 10 years.
