Saw VI was... Actually a lil more better than previous two. It still has flaws like needless padding and Hoffman I do think is very one note. But its not as boring and while i think its not as good as 1-3, its better than 4 and 5 at least. 3 and a Half Jars

Saw V... I'll be honest Marmates, the movies are starting to lose me here. I feel like they are just adding unnessecary padding and expansion and just..going in directions but are unclear of the destination 2.5 out of 5 jars

Ok so Saw IV was a film for sure... Shall we get Saw V out of the way now? #filmsky #firsttimewatch

So Saw IV was.....ehhhh?? Honestly, the series is starting to lose me a bit here, I think it had good ideas bit the pacing went all over the place and the acting for the most part was not that strong. Probably the weakest of the films ive seen so far..lets see how the others fair out 3.5 Jars

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 23h

Wow thats a shame. Even if the practical effects look shoddy...it still looks more realistic

110

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 23h

Oh god I can imagine. I watched the John Carpenter film last year and you cant beat the pratical effects used on there!

110

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 23h

This is the prequel right? I havent seen it but didnt hear good things about it

Alrighty so...movie double bill today!! And I think its time I take a look at the next movie in the SAW series.....one of the bad ones allegedly from what I have read! Its SAW IV...time to play another game but is the game any good? #filmsky #horrorsky #firsttimewatch

A book can only do so much in describe the look of the characters, creatures, locations, and also get into detail because there are no pictures and also is usually worked on by one person A movie dont need to worry about that. It shows it, and it also has a massive team of people making it

110

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I love that! Its always interesting to see how different the books are. But then again, books and movies are two completely different forms of media so they tell stories differently.

Saw III So far probably the best of the franchise so far in terms of story and effects. The lead protagonists were either not that invested or just...slow (like come on Jeff...really?) But its the best out of the three i have seen so far 5 Jars

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Welp...i watched one film per year and not by purpose... Time to get back into the SAW franchise...ive seen the first 2 so..lets delve into Saw III

That is also true. I only use facebook to talk to family, IRL friends and post reviews. But there are some WEIRD ass folk on there...well that applies to ALL social media in general i guess

Why is it everytime I update my phone, it keeps recommending me to download TikTok... I am NOT touching that app with a 39 and a half foot pole. I personally think that site in particular brings the worst out of people!

Thanks. They were designed by a friend of mine 😊 I also have a GOLD JAR for if there is something I REALLY enjoyed..and a Broken Jar for something that i consider the worst 🤣

Yeah i agree. Like I thought the creepiness and mystery worked..but then it got to a point where i was like "wait, whats happening now?"

Ok so Shelby Oaks.. It's...not as bad as a lot of people say it is. It has a strong first half with mystery and suspense done well..but then it stumbles in the 2nd half and kinda loses me a bit. But for his first movie, Chris Stuckmann made a fairly adequate horror flick 3 jars out of 5

160

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Ok so...time to take a look at another indie horror...so how about one written and directed by a Youtuber? Yup...time to take a look at Chris Stuckmann's debut film "Shelby Oaks" and...see if I get stuckmannised...

I mentioned that they F-bombed a lot on this show..and I suddenly remembered that one South Park episode where they had a lil counter in the corner that counted everytime someone said 'Shit' Thats pretty much what the RE show was like with the f word 🤣

030

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I just watched the whole Netflix Resident Evil show so you dont have to.. And WOW!! This was a REALLLY Boring show with stilted dialogue, mostly bland characters and SOOO MANY F-BOMBS that is so repetitive. The only highlight of the whole thing was Lance Reddicks performance 1.5 out of 5 Jars

150

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

If you wanna know how I rate Infinity Castle, its a GOLD JAR film of course!! Was there any doubt? #filmsky #DemonSlayer

Watching the first episode of the Netflix Resident Evil series and...sigh...I dunno if it gets better but...man this is not a strong start. The only good thing about it is Lance Reddick but thats because its Lance Reddick! R.I.P!! I dunno if im a minority here but..its not selling me so far

Just watched Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Part 1... My god this was one of the best things I have seen this year...beautifully animated, great performances (i watched it in the original Japanese) and just...such an AMAZING story told with a lot of emotional moments.. I fucking ❤️ this series!! 😊

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Army of Darkness mini review Yeah, this movie is good...though UNPOPULAR opinion, I felt that they went overkill with the comedy...plus the version I watched had the ORIGINAL ending with the post apocalyptic London. I gave it 5 jars, tho I think this and Evil Dead 2 should swap ratings..

030

Marmike91 @marmike91.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Alrighty, time to finally watch what is considered the BEST of the Evil Dead films, Army of Darkness!! Im super excited for this one!! #firsttimewatching #filmsky
