This is as simple as it should be. You can have an open discussion without hating on other people’s opinions. You can understand why someone might be excited about a series, even if you’ve never liked it. Many ppl do get this right, and I think we all can if we wanted to

it's two things, to me: 1) trans rights matter because trans people matter and deserve rights, not just because failing to stand for trans rights is a bellwether for inauthentic progressivism more broadly 2) if you can't be trusted on trans rights you can't be trusted on anything

Dad: Hope you’re still enjoying your new job! Me: *Elaborate essay on how well I’m doing and how much I find the product interesting and aligned with what I’m passionate about* Having been scarred in a lot of unexpected places from my previous job, I am glad to be feeling such relief most days 😌

I just completed a massive story bit in Metaphor but I zoned out through most of it and wanted a save point bc I can’t focus atm. Not even video games can break through the exhaustion brain fog sometimes 😅 I may go back and replay all of those cutscenes tomorrow if I have my soul back tho lol

No cheating. Share your last photo of the sky from your camera roll Is it still cheating if it’s a photo your dad sent you of his sky view? I really should take more pictures of the sky 😅

A photo of a rainbow shooting in from behind the edge of the Isle of Man where my dad lives. The view is taken from a few storeys up and shows some buildings on a hill, and a calm ocean. The colouring is orangey so it was around sunset a few weeks ago.

The euphoria you can get after certain plans get cancelled is by far my favourite drug 🤩

The universe has got my back today. I was supposed to have a training session with a new colleague but I’m feeling a bit anxious this morning so it wasn’t the best timing. Turns out our platform is down that I am supposed to be trained on so we had to rearrange it for next week. Phewww! 😌

If you're like me and feel excited for Ocarina of Time, please don't let anyone else's opinions bother you. I know it feels good to share that excitement, but not everyone is going to. And that's OK. But DO NOT let anyone's negativity ruin something that's making you happy. Just keep feeling it.

My cat’s comfort bar is extremely low lol… A bath mat had been hanging on the radiator, it had fallen off and was all bunched up on the floor, and we found him loafing on it out in the hall 🥲

Call me a whinging woman but walking down stairs and back up is no joke

A photo taken from a scene in the video game in the video game Metaphor ReFantazio.

It shows the protagonist (man with blue hair) and his fairy companion Gallica talking to an NPC who is apparently whinging about something.

The text on screen reads:

Whinging Woman:
Only thing down there is the hot spring and the magic shop.
Hardly worth the climb back up.

1110

I had an intro with a new colleague today. Every time I asked her a question, it was like when your attacks get repelled and inflict you with a status ailment.

190

I dunno man that sounds kinda terrifying

A photo taken of a cutscene in the video game Metaphor ReFantazio.

The protagonist is reading a book and there’s a subtitle at the bottom explaining the contents of the book. It reads:

‘It contains practical guides for things like creating an altar while travelling, or making eye contact with unmasked people.’

The joke is that making eye contact with unmasked people is terrifying, I’m autistic and neurodivergent people can have problems making eye contact with people as well as ‘masking’ their true selves and needs.

The protagonist has blue hair and a gold headband on and is concentrating hard on the book while sitting on a brown wooden crate. He is accompanied by a fairy called Gallica who has orange hair, sparkly wings and blue shorts.

0192

The level of nostalgia I feel looking at this is visceral

Friend: *explains a trivial worry they have* Me: *launches into a 5000 word psychoanalysis, exploring their neurotype, personality and behavioural patterns to get to the bottom of said worry* It’s what you sign up for I’m afraid 😆

There wasn’t much in that Direct for me, but that’s okay! A nice surprise for me was the Yugioh GX game 😍 That and the Persona updates. But why they gotta tease us like that we want P46 news 💔 SOOON

0140

Why does it feel like all the games are releasing on my bday (16th Feb) lol that was two in a row plus God of War Laufey 😂

2100

Happy Nintendo Direct day (again) everyone! Really excited for this one 🩷 I’m desperately hoping for an update on Witchbrook but it’s pretty unlikely. Would be happy for any Fire Emblem, Pokémon or Atlus news tho!! Manifesting lots of open discourse that doesn’t tip over into negativity today.

I remember phoning my friend who got her 3DS a day earlier than me. She was playing Pilotwings and trying to explain how the 3D worked. ‘It’s not popping out of the screen, it’s more you’re looking into a 3D world’ I know not everyone could use the 3D but it was cool creativity from Nintendo!

Love how the second my wife leaves the living room I send her a barrage of messages. Many lesbians are codependent by nature, the stereotypes are true 🥲

I know I already wifed her but my wife is definitely wife material. I finished work, came into the living room and she has Metaphor loaded up on the TV and waiting for me on the pause menu. Let’s go tear up some dungeons ⚔️
