I love what you do. I am a huge fan of TDD and simple, testable design with fast feedback loops. Yet, I have not felt as empowered as a software developer in a long time. The last time I felt a big boost like that was when I learnt what easily testable software design means. AI is a game-changer.

Fish. 🐟 France, Portugal and Germany managed to bloc EU sanctions on Russian fresh fish imports. Apparently Surimi is an indispensable French classic. Germans can only eat fish fingers made from Russian fish. And Portugal's national dish, dried cod, is now Made in Russia.

When I first learned about XP in 2000, the values of Communication, Feedback and Simplicity were easy to grasp. The 4th value of Courage, though, wasn’t as clear. My recent experiences using LLMs to work with legacy code have helped me understand what Courage actually means! tiny.cc/m025101

One of the worst developments of the web in 2025 has been Google inserting itself into sharing of links through various of their applications. A "share.google" link is full of explicit tracking, so Google knows who is sharing what with who, while also obscuring TO YOU what the origin of the link is:
