I’ve seen Black people across social media platforms talking about picnics at lynchings and so many white people are in our mentions insisting that the last public execution was 1936 and that lynchings were “mob murder” not state sanctioned. So confidently loud and incredibly wrong.

"The Invite" is getting a 4K UHD release this 11/24 as an A24 shop exclusive so far. I can't stress enough to folks how GREAT this film was. It's a thrilling/hilarious observation on marriages that are long past their expiration. A return to form that shows Olivia Wilde is one of our best directors.

I don't think Daredevil is getting revived (as a show) again for the 3rd time. That said, I'm still glad they booed Marvel/Disney for ending the show. You had to cancel the show? Fine. But you LIVE with the consequence of your actions.

You're guess is as good as mine on which characters this show will be about. With the likely end of many previous D+ MCU shows, this DAMN WELL BETTER be a banger if they're axing Daredevil and Wonder Man for this.

I wish Disney/Sony would release all of these with original poster art as it ALWAYS beat whatever photoshop job they come up with. But at the end of the day, I'm glad these Fox titles are coming back at all on 4K. And the Die Hard sequels (at least THESE ones) are high in demand for collectors.

On December 1st, "Die Hard" is being reissued in a 4K steelbook and "Die Hard 2" & "Die Hard with a Vengeance" are coming to 4K for the 1st time ever! Die Hard will be the same discs as the 2018 Fox 4K UHD which still holds up so it's fine. I like the idea behind the artwork but the execution 🫤.

"Joy Ride" FINALLY comes out on 4K this October 27th. A highly underseen comedy about 4 Asian-American gals going through shenanigans overseas. It's hard to find a transparently raunchy comedy nowadays let alone one that's actually funny. But Adele Lim did just that & the cast were all hilarious.

Warner Archive is releasing "Doctor Zhivago" on 4K UHD this December 1st. This is 1 of 3 of David Lean's most beloved epic films. The 2010 Blu-ray was very good for its time, but the 4K will be based on an 8K scan with encoding done by Fidelity in Motion. This is definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

The Steven Spielberg film "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" is coming to 4K UHD this December 15th. It was widely known that this was originally supposed to be a Kubrick film until he passed away in 1999. Spielberg took over the film & imo resulted in a pretty good film tho the ending remains divisive.

His 1st four movies may have been box office hits but aside from the 1st movie the reviled reception has caused long term damage to the franchise. Even putting aside lack of fidelity to the shows/comics, these are simply BAD action/comedies that are snide, gross, and oversensory nonsense.
