3/ NJSM paleontologist Dave Parris immediately thought it needed to be compared with Atlantochelys and that it was something similar. However, the two pieces fit together, indicating they were halves of the SAME INDIVIDUAL BONE, collected over 150 years apart. 🦖🧪

The reunited humerus of the gigantic sea turtle Atlantochelys, the two halves being held by two paleontologists: on the right is the ANSP half, published in 1849, and on the left is the NJSM half, discovered in 2012.

I disagree. Estimating age based on user behaviour is not less invasive, it’s ’differently’ invasive. It involves gathering far more data than just state issued ID, and that other data can be used for many more invasive inferences than just age. Things like sexuality, emotional state, health etc…

Das Bild zeigt einen kleinen, länglichen und nach oben abgerundeten Stein, dessen Form an einen Hinkelstein erinnert. Der Stein wurde rundherum so bemalt, dass er selbst zum Körper von Obelix wird.
