Circa 2002, a friend came to my house with a friend of hers who was visiting Chicago, a young man whose dream in life was to be a comedy writer. That kid, Opus Moreschi, worked his way up to become head writer at the Colbert Report and through the entire run of Late Night. One of the unsung greats.
