This is Nigel the Eastern Screech-Owl at the Avian Behavior Conservancy in Escondido, CA. Screech-owls have fairly complex vocalizations & Nigel has specific mews & trills he uses with humans to direct them to give him mealworms. It's =highly effective=. Meaning: He's domesticated his humans.

My tires were delivered to my mechanic at 1:37. No call has yet (4:16) come to bring my car in. The head mechanic said if they didn't come in late today they'd get them on my car. They close at 5. I'm going to be car free all weekend huh.

goooood morning after a few real nice days in a row we’re back to raincoat weather, and the bluster chased away a lot of our friends - but not the crows! - so we shared our snacks, stayed mostly dry, and yes: Lucy Loved That Walk
