Doug Ford still has three weeks left of his 20-week summer break. Jealous? Should’ve been born rich, taken over your dad’s business, inherited the family home, and scammed your way into becoming the laziest, most corrupt premier with the lowest approval rating in all of Canada, babe. #OnPoli
An egg-shaped plastic toy from the 70s called a Weeble. It has a round face, pale skin, slightly sinister expression, and is under four active police investigations. Folks find it charming because it hands out free hot dogs once a year and pretends to be a man of the people. Not pictured: A small red shovel and a Tim Hortons egg sammich.

But taking on the full cost of building the thing, when private proponents didn’t want to touch it even with those other supportive policies, basically means betting on demand (and the supply to meet it) beyond what the industry itself is willing to do. That’s deeply weird.

The city's failure to increase the number of pools as the city grows means two companies in Orléans have built their own pools just to teach kids to swim. Registration issues are the symptom. Insufficient investment in pools is due to extremely low taxes. Set a higher tax cap target.
