Honestly not even the old people are voting as much for PSD in the big cities anymore. My relative didn't show up for either the local or the 2024 presidential election

There's this thing in British politics where any seat that has a clear mix of voter types must either have socially conservative white voters or socially conservative ethnic minority ones but no there are actually quite a lot of white liberal hipsters in this seat

Reform voters are those they want, as opposed to the Labour voters they actually have (and despise). This sounds like a petty point, but I think is key in understanding their strategy.

It's a bit like saying is the Netherlands anti EU because they elected Geert Wilders. To an extent, yes, but the framing of the election is from a very outside perspective. I don't think any but a minority of Simion voters think or believe that he is a threat to Romania's European position.

What I do not think the Washington understands is that it’s not Trump in himself that’s discrediting us to the allies. Every now and then in a democracy, the people elect a turd. It’s that the Constitution gives them a Mad King Removal button and they are too cowardly and cynical to press it.

Labour must involve whole country if it wants to achieve its goals, report warns
Age of ‘command and control’ is over, says Demos, with work needed from business, charities, unions and public Labour’s missions are at risk of failing unless the government does more to involve the whole country from businesses to the wider public, as the age of “command and control” is over, a report from Demos has warned. The thinktank called on the government to embrace “mass mobilisation” for businesses, charities, unions and the wider public to drive its flagship missions, which promise growth, clean energy, cutting crime, rebuilding the NHS and reforming education. I would say that AUR is also a possibility for this opinion poll. It shows them growing 10 percent points without taking any votes from the other nationalist parties which I find very unlikely.

The only other poll I could find made by them is one from September where Ciolacu was first with 24% Simion was second with 19% and Geoană was third with 16% and PSD - 29%, PNL - 18%, AUR - 16%, USR - 15%, S.O.S. România - 6%, UDMR - 6%, other - 10%.

There is a 95% chance that Georgescu will be banned from participating, especially since he said that Ukraine is a fictional stage. Victor Ponta participating and getting that many votes is VERY unlikely. Keep in mind that most polls said Georgescu was under 15% last election.
