Mez @machinekind.bsky.social · 03/10/2026My biggest hope for news like this is that it goes the same way as blockchain. Companies will spend a ton of money on it, realize it doesn't work the way they thought (doesn't magically print money from nothing), and quietly abandon it years later. 131

I love how much he was able to fuck around around and get so abstractly graphic, yet no one in the audience ever batted an eye because his designs lent so much personality and energy to the cartoons they were used in. 51411473

Mez @machinekind.bsky.social · 28/07/2026But Legends Arceus might be my favorite Pokemon game of all time. There's something magical about being out in the wild and seeing Pokemon walking around just doing their thing. And being able to catch them, chase them, or GET chased by them makes it feel so real. 000
Mez @machinekind.bsky.social · 28/07/2026I grabbed BDSP when they released so I could see if I was just missing something, but I felt the same way about them as I did about Platinum years ago. Something about Gen 4 just doesn't speak to me the way it seems to with a lot of the younger Pokemon crowd. 100
Mez @machinekind.bsky.social · 28/07/2026I still picked up Black when it came out, and it quickly became one of my favorite Pokemon games of all time, and still is. I felt the same kind of magic playing it as I did when I got my GBA SP and Ruby version. 100
Mez @machinekind.bsky.social · 28/07/2026Gen 4 came out when I was a teenager and much too old for baby games like Pokemon. The announcement for B/W made me realize that was immature and I should like what I like, so I picked up a DS Lite and Platinum. For some reason it just never really grabbed me like the older ones did. 100
