The strong fluorescence of riboflavin / vitamin B2. This is probably responsible for the fluorescent of the Olive Oysterling fungus Sarcomyxa serotina and the bright yellow colour of urine after taking B vitamins

Cemeteries are often great fungi habitat as this beautiful Amanita crocea - Orange Grisette shows. They often have a wide variety of trees and no chemical fertilisers etc. #MushroomMonday #FungiFriends

🍄🌊 Lovely little sand dune mushrooms. Dune brittlestem (Psathyrella ammophila) spotted at Crimdon beach. 🌱 This fungi feeds on the decaying roots of marram grass.

Afternoon wander on the Cromford Canal. I thought these on Hart's-Tongue Fern were going to be P verhuella, but looking at one of the larva it appears to be filicivora. A nice 3rd brood Wall butterfly and 9 Red Admiral seen. #TeamMoth #butterflies
