Another little tool built on top of @meodai.bsky.social's Cusp Hanger to create palettes for generative systems. One ground colour plus foregrounds grouped by contrast. It generates a smooth ramp per hue and selects colours off that ramp by measured contrast.

I like this analogy a lot! Have you seen a change in the last 5 years in how designers think "outside this box"? On my end not so much, even with the not so new pandora box at hand (LLMs).

When thinking about the design<>dev gap I always think about fixed values beeing one of the first blocker. It looks like a low hanging fruit in my view but as a dev I'm biased.

"It’s not always an easy sell to designers to make fluid choices, by simple maths." That's something that's been frustrating me for years now especially when building layouts. If only design tools like Figma would help designers reason with something else than fixed values...

design system folks: do you use component tokens regularly? i have Very Strong Opinions™ on them (in that i think they’re a fucking terrible idea) but i’m not sure if i’m missing something obvious.

🚀 Container style queries are baseline; New attr() capabilities are nearly there. Neat apart, but together they change how we can wire up components. Practice will make perfect, and I still need to rewire my brain for this combo. So, time to start that rewire. utilitybend.com/blog/contain...

Do you mean m3u files listing tracks not in the same server (like a URL)? If so, I don't know if it's even possible. What I have on my Navidrome server is a music folder containing all my tracks in one folder by artist and m3u files at the root of the music folder.

As for macOs, I'm using Doppler but it doesn't seems to be maintained anymore. It works but doesn't let me export playlists as m3u files which I need to sync on my navidrome server. I'm force to sync playlists in Doppler and Music. And export them in Music.

I really wanted to address this take by @mtsw.bsky.social and they have fairly closed it off, but I am going to use a screenshot because I think this is a really good topic to discuss and as someone for whom this is my entire job and has been for over a decade now I actually agree and disagree... 🧵
everyone — consumers, publishers, writers — would wind up better off if web browser ad-blockers didn't exist and the rationalizations for using one are mostly clever justifications for what's just selfish behavior with obvious negative social consequences.

> Counterpoint - I like using the Internet to read articles and the ad blocker is the thing which makes that possible.

> Would the writers and publishers be better off if I didn't visit their website?

i mean if they are financially supported by advertising and you are a free-rider who views their content without seeing any advertisements, yes they are almost tautologically better off if you never visit their website
