This is a great piece. It’s a shame it’s on substack. Read it or don’t, she describes why they were at the game, what help her husband offered and why she deferred that help. She also describes the pain of the comments after. In particular she addresses Kuiper and Krukow and asks they do better.

I dreamt I had built a "walkthrough" of my house on my website (like estate agents do), but people were allowed to interact with it and add little submissions. But, my approval mechanism stopped working, and when I woke up, people had added ghosts and demons to my house photos using AI.

I had a photobucket account in the early 2000s where I would host my fan art wallpapers, banners, avatars, etc. I would then hot-link them on my fan sites and forums to save on hosting space. Please “unfind” me.

Text-decoration (plus -*) is a funny one because I noticed 6 years ago that the wavy option renders completely differently in different browsers. At the time I thought it was cute and quirky for my personal website but if it was for a client project I would have a very bad time ™️

Comparison between Chrome, Firefox and Safari. The `text-decoration-style: wavy` style renders differently between all of them. Thicker and more spaced in chrome, tiny and compressed in firefox and more fluid and less wavy in Safari. Chrome rendering it the thickest.

Our London borough has been one of the recipients of Dolly’s Imagination Library for the last few months. A free book every month. Some became my daughter’s favourites. I always make a little joke “Dolly sent this!!”. This is a really sad loss for the world. 💔 the goal is to be this kind.
