Women want to compete in women's sports. That they are trans shouldn't matter. There's nothing reasonable about considering it "unfair" for trans athletes to exist. I like Pete, and he is usually incredibly good at communicating things, but this is garbage.

I get this, I do, but I'm also so tired of the "imagine if..." framing of these things. Yeah, Republicans are hypocrites, among every other horrible thing they are. It's unnecessary to imagine Mamdani doing this because he wouldn't, but also because Republicans already act like he did, anyway.

What I've realized about Bluesky is it's like 2012 Twitter, so it's close enough to what people want for it to stick around. What people really want, though, is 2018-2019 Twitter, and current X is unfortunately closer to that than Bluesky, so a lot of people stay over there and this place suffers.

Beyond being the latest act in the continued campaign to dehumanize birthing people by violating their medical autonomy, this also doesn't even logically track.
