This is “alleged,” but multiple comedians we’d booked after Dennis Haskins, when they’d found out that we’d booked him, passionately told me that he had a history of using his fame as Mr. Belding to pressure young, impressionable college women into doing some not great stuff.

When I was in college, I was Dennis Haskins' handler for a Mr. Belding meet and greet event. As a huge Saved By The Bell fan, I was excited to do it, until I’d heard afterwards that he needed a handler because he wasn’t allowed to be alone in the same room with women.

I wear a mask to teach and make masks available for my students (not that any of them take me up on the offer sigh). I tell them I want to keep showing up for them in class and also don’t want to get them sick. I already have quite a few emails from students who have “bad colds” and also covid!
