📢 Child poverty in 2025 is at an “historic low” based on the official poverty measure; however! The 2025 supplemental poverty measure of child poverty at ~13% did not differ from 2024. See today’s release from the U.S. Census Bureau: lnkd.in/ddSVn7Ud

Imagine being New Hampshire. You tried a work requirements program in 2018, but it didn't work. You were about to kick 2/3rds of people off Medicaid. You cancel the program. Interesting idea. Doesn't work. Now the federal government is REQUIRING you to start it up again!

The problem is: they've mistaken correlation for causation. They think their parents and grandparents had a good life *because* of manufacturing jobs. When, in reality, their parents and grandparents had a good life *despite* manufacturing jobs, because of unions, high taxes, and social policies.
