NEWS: Eight major U.S. allies—including Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan—have issued a joint rebuke of the Trump regime’s sweeping sanctions on the International Criminal Court. They vow “unwavering support” for the ICC’s independence.

A vertical graphic on a white background displays an October 9, 2026, joint statement from the foreign ministers of Canada, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. The full statement, presented in black serif text, reaffirms unwavering support for the International Criminal Court (ICC), strongly opposes U.S. sanctions against the Court, warns of their impact on its work, staff, and families, and pledges continued support for international justice, accountability, and the rules-based international system.

A good time to remind people that Chris Van Hollen is the only Member of Congress to have ever called for European states to sanction the President and Secretary of State, in this case specifically in response to their attempts to destroy the ICC in order to protect Israel.

Sam Altman said people are just gonna have to die in order to implement AI. In the very same week, Anthropic claimed it’s a human rights violation to be mean to the computer. These people need to be held accountable. They think lines of code are a person with rights but living people are debris.

I genuinely mean this. I cannot imagine a more bleak dystopian notion than the idea of all art being turned into slop designed to coddle my exact perceived intentions. The point of literature, film, music, and art is to be exposed to the interior lives of others. Who are these people.

i got a bit too into the slime racing game mode in DQX with the current event that i made a tier list with my experience of "getting to 1 million points on two characters" and not even having tried every slime

1. Drake Slime
Currently top 1 in the entire game mode. Lightning is so obnoxiously strong that the entire meta revolves around not getting hit by it.
It also has access to every other good skill you would want out of a Slime.

2. Healslime
Runs in direct opposition to Drake Slime with several moves allowing it to regenerate Stamina. It also has a lot of defensive options including Floaty Body to ignore Banana Traps.
Not the fastest, but being able to practically ignore the Stamina mechanics to keep racing uninterrupted makes it very consistent.

3. Slime
Very solid runner that has access to several speed up options to get ahead or catch up after getting hit. Not as outwardly strong as the Top 2, but it is consistent enough that it can win even after a poor call.

4. Shell Slime
Despite the snail look, this one can make a huge breakaway thanks to a mix of offense and defense with Shell Missile. It doesn’t get access to Quick Recovery though, which makes Stamina management difficult and extremely weak to Drake Slime’s Lightning, making a wrong call fatal for your run.

5. Slime Stack
This Slime’s best quality is meant to be Jumping, which in itself would be great as Jumping is very powerful. It however leaves you at the mercy of RNG, and relying on it makes Slime Stack one of the most inconsistent Slimes in the entire mode. It has a pretty good skill list otherwise, with its main move Splats ‘n Blobs being a cheap wide-hitting attack.

6. Bubble Slime
A Slime with several attacks that causes severe debuffs. While interesting on paper, it has to deal with Drake Slime doing its job much better and doesn’t seem to have much going for it otherwise, especially defensively.

7. Slime Knight

I don’t think I really know what this one’s main quality is supposed to be. Everything I’ve seen Slime Knight do is done better by every other Slime. I don’t think I’ve seen it get Top 1 once, and I’m fairly certain it has the lowest pick rate on the board.
