Running in a bit late, but my muppet mer-Stede's screen-accurate tail. I worked so hard on it to get it right, up to and including getting new tools and learning new techniques.

Muppet mer Stede lying on a wooden floor, mouth and arms wide

Closer photo of mer Stede's tail do show the airbrushing along the side and the white side fins

Close-up on the torso where it meets the tail and the gold and red glittered peach-coloured scales and pink felt nips

The fluke of mer Stede tail with sweeping white foam curves, airbrushed in reds and oranges, with pleated organza swishy tail bits with ombre airbrushing and glittery purple edging

My favorite book reviews are ones that say the category of book they were reading was too much of the category of book they were reading. (It's almost always either YA or romance, too).

Review of a YA book on storygraph that says "too YA for me."

‘Vernal Dreaming’ Mixed media and cold wax on panel From my nocturnal worlds series #sciart #ArtAdventCalendar

Upside-down woman sleeping with a hair full of neurons, three snakes, a moth and chrysalis, and elaborate swirling patterns against a night sky filled with stars including neurotransmitter constellations.

March 27, 2025 notes from my sleep diary:

"Dreams of snakes. The yellow snake and a garter snake were most vivid. They seemed unbothered by me watching them"

Finished my #mending from #Halloween ! So many tombstones to fix, & then there was this goofy indoor prop that kept cracking at the top. After several attempts with different types of glue (super, hot, E6000), I taped it, gesso'd the tape & painted. Don't look too close & it's great 😂

Halloween prop that looks like gross pipes with a lightbulb at the top. When you press the button the light flickers & there's sound effects of electricity static, zapping and failing. It's pretty clear where I mended it because the paint colors are a bit off.
