9 years today I took this photo! I find that pretty outrageous. I took a trip to Barry Island to do some filming, but I soon gave up and had a wander. Pretty quickly the rain came in, and then the sunbeam, and I'm still shocked that I managed to be in the right place at the right time.

Landscape www.wikiart.org/en/paul-nash/landsc…
This artwork, titled "Landscape," captures the tranquil beauty of nature with its gentle hues and soft depiction of trees and fields, reminiscent of Paul Nash's ethereal style. Known for blending surrealism with various artistic movements, Nash often drew inspiration from the English countryside, infusing his landscapes with dreamlike abstraction.

Not posted so much because I've been so busy and asthma has been a real ballache, but what do you think of my little test for what a Wales at the Seaside booklet could look like? Playing with colour, text, texture etc. Will probably be ready in time for Christmas!

I'll ask again... Someone MUST have links to Tom Jones? I'd love to photograph him for my CYMRU project; and I live in the street he was born on! Here he is on the old bridge in Ponty

I watched the first episode of Jonathan Meades' 'Abroad in Britain' last night, and thought pretty much straight away, why is the BBC no longer capable of making programming like this? It's 36 years old, but still whips along beautifully in its editing, music and 'Meades'

An awful poster (Steptoe isn't in it) for a pretty good film, which in itself is an excellent coda for the fairytale nightmare gothic that Hammer excelled at

A great afternoon showing Mayor Alan Lockyer and Mayoress Mrs Jan Lockyer around my Port Talbot exhibition, along with councillor Sean Pursey. The staff of the The New Plaza said it's been really busy for the show, and a couple even travelled from Shrewsbury to see it!

Nash, known for blending modernist techniques with pastoral themes, creates a sense of movement and mystery with the interplay of light and shadow in this piece.
