Je ländlicher eine Gemeinde ist, desto stärker ist sie gealtert. In Großstädten nahm das Durchschnittsalter von 2011 bis 2025 nur leicht zu: von 43,2 auf 43,5 Jahre. Dagegen stieg es in den Landgemeinden von 44,3 auf 46,8 Jahre. Mehr dazu: www.destatis.de/DE/Presse/Pr...

Viel bekanntes: CDU dominiert im katholischen Emsland, AfD hier klar schwächer. Dafür deutlich stärker im Südosten um Wolfsburg/Gifhorn/Salzgitter. Auch die SPD performt hier traditionell besser, wie im protestantischen Friesland. Hochburgen von Linken und Grünen in den Uni- und Großstädten.

Wäre das aussagekräftigere Maß nicht, welcher Anteil der AfD-Gesamtstimmen aus Ost/West kommt? Wenn man so rechnet, ist die AfD-Wählerschaft ja 2025 doch spürbar westdeutscher geworden.

81 % of eastern German municipalities have fewer residents today than in 1985. Losses cluster especially in Pommerania and rural Sachsen-Anhalt, where towns often shrank by a third or more. Growth is almost entirely confined to larger cities like Berlin & Leipzig and their commuter belts.
