Can readers tell AI news from human news? In our new study (599 people, Switzerland), they couldn't. AI and human articles were rated equally credible and expert. Disclosing AI sparked curiosity but didn't shift broader attitudes. Open access in Scientific Reports: www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Who produces hate speech? And how does that matter for content moderation? We show that across different countries and platforms, a relatively small share of users are responsible for a very large share of hate - overall, 5% write 83-100% of hateful content. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Everyone agrees that this issue is really important. But we do not know much about this specific question, although it matters a great deal, for these reasons. We approach the problem from this perspective. Our research design focuses on these cases and relies on these data, which we analyze using this method. Results show what we have learned about the question. They have these broader implications.
