Genuinely though guys, don't forget. The ancient demon Dolly was keeping in check will be eating first borns tonight. Summoning Dolly's spirit is the only way to keep it out of your home

Why don't we just escape society and live in the woods? We can take one book each and memorise it and eventually recite them on request and become the Book People from Fahrenheit 451

I really, genuinely fucking hate to say this but after the Oxford Union debates and after clapping back at Suella Braverman's ethnonationalist bullshit today, Jacob Rees Mogg might actually be one of the most effective anti-racist voices in the country. Some country, huh?

Science teacher gave an assembly that was a point by point rehashing of an argument he'd had with his wife about whether you should look two or three times when crossing a road. His argument was that looking three times is too much and indicates you should have more faith in your fellow man.

Americans are such big fans British post-punk and Mark E. Smith they renamed the entire season of autumn. It's time we returned the favour and changed the name of spring to "Hüsker Dü"

Time we started enforcing our new national border around Piddington. Bad enough those bloody Piddingtoners steal from our electricity grid and shit in our sewers. Now they're coming over here, trying to go shopping in Bicester. Send 'em all back.

I must have watched that Elizabeth Holmes / Nathan Fielder clip a dozen times now, and every time I'm reminded how Amanda Seyfried totally nailed that voice and that intense stare.

I don't know what to make of the OOT remake. I don't hate the art style. I'm glad it's neither realistic nor a cartoon. I can't imagine they'll be able to translate the magical feeling of that weird and wonderful N64 controller becoming an ocarina in your hands.

An RNLI lifeboat guy here, and as I’ve been saying for many years now: why is it that the public have been subjected to hate campaigns against hated enemies including rescue services, Stonewall, Amnesty International, the left of the Labour Party, the National Trust, the Proms and Match of the Day?
Fr Paul @revpaulwhite • 1h
Let me tell you about the Overton window:
A white, middle-aged, middle-class, clergyman in the Church of England, who volunteers with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a radical leftist seeking to bring down Western society.
That is how far it has shifted.

One reason England does so well is our second generation immigrants outperform their peers which is not true in most OECD countries. We are also very good at integration. And it's v sad that this is never acknowledge in debates on immigration.

A consistent pitch by the makers of ai wearables is that they solve the problem of getting to know your child. www.businessinsider.com/parents-brea...
Molly, who runs a startup to help parents book activities for kids, is willing to use AI for logistics, like meal planning or sorting through her email to surface the most important messages from their daughter's school. Sean, who works in tech sales, wants to go further. He has his eyes on Omi necklace, an AI wearable that listens in on your day and includes a feature called Parent Whisperer. It records and analyzes interactions between parent and child, logging things like school assignments and supplies to order. The device also picks up on tone, alerting parents when their kid may be unhappy — registering everything from "from toddler tantrums to teenage mood swings," per its ad copy — and offering "expert-backed guidance" on how to respond.

In the history of advertising there has never been a more evil advert. They made this to hurt us. They want to tip us over the edge. They want to show us our full capacity for darkness and hate. They're colluding with TV & phone manufacturers to make us smash our screens.
That fucking Betfair ad where they changed the lyrics to a Backstreet Boys song and the guy front and centre is literally the most annoying cunt you've ever seen.
