I really hope that Fortunes Weave can capture this quality again, while still differentiating itself from Three Houses. I think that’s most important to me, and the idea of playing something so rich in that quality again makes me more excited for FW than anything else.

Through that I find then that it’s quite easy to become immersed in this characteristically diverse community that is Garreg Mach, among the students, professors, and knights. Which of course makes the splintering of that community by the war ever more painful.

Been putting on a Three Houses playthrough recently. I’m reminded one of the things this game accomplishes that I think is crucial is how it offers this cast that all have a singular feature that serves as a pillar of who they are, yet each can become known to you as a whole person.
