Dear government, don’t send startling, high-pitched alerts about wildfires to ordinary people's phones. Send them to the CEOs of fossil fuel companies and make them impossible to switch off until they stop the destructive plunder that's contributing to climate change.

When more negative press coverage is given to a Scottish independence party whose party official stole £400,000 from it than to a right wing Unionist party whose former leader is guilty of raping an 8 yr old child, it tells us the UK press is not holding power to account but protecting it.

Isn't it odd* that the pro-Union media have barely mentioned (if at all) that the SNP won more seats than ALL of the unionist parties combined? #Scotland
The SNP has won 83% of Holyrood's constituency seats, with more MSPs than all the unionist parties combined.
The SNP and Scottish Greens together hold 73 seats, a record pro-indy majority.
If that's not a mandate to hold an independence referendum, what is?

According to the UK parties & press, everything is shite due to the SNP, but also no one's interested in indy. Yet the SNP keeps on winning more seats than the anti-indy parties combined, so either the SNP is running Scotland better than we're told, or there really is a wish for indy.

Yessers will be relieved Reform was seen off at constituency level. But their list presence in Holyrood will warp our parly rightwards without a clear restatement of independence purpose. After all Yes won. Reform didn’t. And to the winners, the spoils. www.thenational.scot/politics/260...

Channel 4 News is generally the best of a bad bunch in UK news broadcasting but it was odd in their report on the Scottish and Welsh elections today that they said Plaid and SNP had failed to win majorities but didn't say both countries use PR systems which make majorities almost impossible.

Very dissapointed that even @channel4news.bsky.social framed the list seats won by reform as a massive win for them. Not emphasising the huge difference in seat numbers and votes cast between them and SNP..yes they had a muted breakthrough here but the big up from the news promotes them.
