Working through the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise this spooky season. Fun times with Part 4: The Dream Master featuring a particularly nasty Freddy kill as he appears as a mermaid inside a waterbed, only to burst through and drown his target with a peak Freddy quip: "How's this for a wet dream?"

I sat down to watch The Simpsons Movie for a previous challenge (Spider-pig = more than two legs) but the plot point of a polluted Lake Springfield means I can use it here! Not perfect, but done well enough that as a long-time fan who hasn't watched the show years, it felt like visiting old friends.

A recent silent movie screening led me to 1918's The Cook, featuring some wonderful physical comedy from Roscoe Arbuckle, Buster Keaton, and goodest boy ever Luke the Dog. Plenty of elaborate food-catching scenes, and a truly inspired sequence of spaghetti-eating gags. Plus: a dog climbs a ladder!

This happens over and over. Speaking of Netflix, they light 300 million on fire on a faux-blockbuster and the only new project anybody is talking about is a pickup of a grim Brit tv miniseries shot in a series of interrogation rooms about a boy who killed a classmate.
