For decades, it's been a truism that younger generations are healthier & live longer (on average) than their parents' generation. Sadly, there are signs that our health may be "drifting" backward. Read more about "generational health drift": jenndowd.substack.com/p/is-50-the-... #demography

RFK Jr. has decided to change the way measles deaths are counted at the CDC. As @drdebhoury.bsky.social says in this article by @melodyschreiber.com: “The change doesn’t make any sense”. It only makes sense if you’re RFK Jr. and you desperately need to manipulate data to hide your malfeasance.

Every update about the pancreatic cancer vaccine, I have to hold back the rush of tears thinking about my stepdad. He’s been gone 20 years and six months, and the idea that other families may not have to know the pain of watching someone die of this evil disease is almost too much to hope for.

The rise of larger vehicles like SUVs and pickup trucks, with their taller hoods and larger blind zones, has contributed to a 75% increase in pedestrian and cyclist deaths since 2009. Until we design better streets and ban these vehicles, people outside these vehicles will keep dying.
