I was a major Fauci defender/admirer. He was editor of an amazing text. A leader. But now.. not so much. If you can’t see the COI manifested in that diary then you are a politically captured scientist/intellectual. For me it was a sad turning point. The gushing.. It is just too much to take.

I’m at the point where I think most sepsis (trial level) research is so fundamentally flawed that it is unlikely to show anything other that random noise. I don’t agree with everything Lawrence says, but he makes some extremely good points on this topic.
