Hello Moon. I love you Moon. 'Member we're one so that means I love you too as much as I love the Moon. Hope you feel that. *walks out the room making farting noises with no regrets fir the love of cabbage.
The moon has a thin blanket of clouds dancing across it's glow. Framing the pic on the viewer's left is the sillouette of a tree. To the viewer's right the roof line of a deck roof glows lavender with a butterfly shapped whirligig hanging it's blue-pink self in pride and lerv, because a butterfly is many heart coming together to allow the flight of the hearts. I adore this view and experience. The heart sings: "Hello Moon, I love you moon." Did you know that describing your surroundings helps with PTSD? Making ALT text descriptions to your experience before posting... might be a way to help. K, love you!

""I can't believe humans would hunt the thylacine to extinction, humans are fundamentally evil" Hey, did you know that extinction was long thought to be impossible, and within 50 years of humans realizing that extinction via overhunting was a possibility it practically stopped happening? Did you know that humans are so desperate to prevent more losses that they're funneling millions of collective hours and billions of euros into helping other species? Hours and euros that could be spent on humans, being spent on species on whom humanity's own survival does not depend? Did you know that due to an accidental introduction of rats, the Lord Howe Island stick insect population was brought down to 24 individuals and now there are tens of thousands of them?"

It's odd that we've collectively agreed (in the U.S.) that consent comes at the age of 15-18 when science shows the brain is still developing then. Then there's the consensus that drug use at a young age halts this development. Therefore, if you've been exposed to drug use at a young age...

The Dallas Zoo & Fort Worth Zoo, both wonderful programs, are working with Texas Parks & Wildlife to restore wild populations of Texas horned lizards (Phrynosoma cornutum) via zoo breed & release programs. 2026 is already a RECORD year: > 1000 lizards released, with documented wild-born babies.
A gloved human hand holds a round plastic container like you might put a salad in, but there are teeny-tiny horned lizards all alert looking and fierce inside.

Yesterday, 116 Texas horned lizards started their exciting journey to be released into the wild. Our team has worked tirelessly since their hatching to ensure these little ones are fully prepped and ready for this big moment. Stay tuned for more details on their release!

Two screenshots against a closeup photo of orange and yellow flowers. The first is a map of the US showing COVID transmission, with states colored light blue to berry pink depending on severity. Lane County is light blue which means very low, but the rest of the state has counties in the moderate, high, and very high ranges. Text notes that this data was last updated on September 12.
