Just reflecting on the reality that the most consistent and invasive messaging Albertans are getting from our provincial government is about separating from Canada and joining gambling apps.

wait these "hot for hockey" "stories" are 60 second audio clips? LOL my god. WHAT are we doing here. I'm insulted as a lapsed hockey fan AND as a reader.
According to the Sports Business Journal, “Led by new CMO Sean Eggert, the NHL is rolling out a series of short stories on audiobook platforms throughout the season that present real-life NHL storylines in the style of romance novels. The league has contracted popular hockey romance authors to write and narrate the 60-to-90-second pieces, which will direct listeners to tune in to upcoming games to see how the stories play out on the ice. It will also tap influential “BookTok” creators to spread the word.”

The NHL doing a "hot for hockey" booktok campaign in the wake of the pushback on Forementon's signing is unbelievable enough... also... when booktok first went crazy over hockey c. 2023, didn't a player's wife have to make a public statement asking creators to stop harassing her husband

We need to continue to keep the heat on the Oilers over this. Anyone who continues to argue that the "alleged" perpetrators deserve second chances while the victims and survivors get nothing is not someone you can trust or rely on.

Shameful. Literally Randy from South Park saying "they took our jobs." Back in the pile!!
A pamphlet mailed to me from the Alberta government, in other words create it and produced with my tax dollars, says that it (it being immigration,) "has also adversely affected albertans and Canadians looking for affordable housing and employment opportunities"

On the one hand, I don't think it matter how decisive it is, nothing will placate the separatists. On the other hand, I am petty and want to see this defeated by a HUGE margin so you better believe I'm voting!

Not surprising at all that a man with (presumably) a wife at home and an exec assistant at work doesn't care if they know their own address. They don't have to and never did and it's not because of AI!

Globe and Mail's "skeptic's guide to AI" opens with this anecdote and as a skeptic.. uh... yeah this just seems like psychosis to me??? Read a book!
An Interview with Elena Yunusov:
When and why did you first embrace AI?

I didn’t think I had much use for artificial intelligence in my daily life. AI was something researchers did, and I’m a little technical, but not that technical. Then ChatGPT changed everything. I was sitting in an airport when it launched and my flight was delayed by seven hours. I talked to ChatGPT the whole time and was shocked at how human it seemed. Just like dial-up internet was once mind-blowing, ChatGPT blew my mind. It was magical.
