Burdened with a pointless and erratic time-skipping structure and intrusive narration that occasionally breaks the fourth wall, the lost and confused TRUST ME, I’M A DOCTOR shines no new lights on either Anna Nicole Smith or its orbiting subject. My @avclub.com review. www.avclub.com/trust-me-im-...

Even Anna Nicole Smith's doctor gets a bad biopic with Trust Me, I'm A Doctor
Anna Nicole Smith was so fascinating to American media that it's still exploiting her memory in confused films like Trust Me, I'm A Doctor.

Fourteen years ago, October 12, 2012, David Lynch’s “Memory Film” debuted. Does THE DREAMER’S PATH: TWIN PEAKS AND DAVID LYNCH THE ACTOR, which provides a new frame through which to consider Lynch’s commitment to “the art life,” tell its story? 📕 You bet! bit.ly/46WL5z1 #DavidLynch #TheDreamersPath
A still from David Lynch’s 2012 short “Memory Film,” in which he also appears. Here, in profile, he gazes leftward but with his right hand covering his eyes, as a floating animated Santa Claus is X-ed out on the screen.

Travis Knight’s WILDWOOD is such an astounding achievement in stop-motion that even if the story sucked, it would be a “must see.” But the story is wonderful (if a little archetypal), so the effort it took to produce this masterpiece was wholly justified. My review is at @thewrap.com!

OTHER MOMMY is pretty damn terrifying until the plot starts to solidify, and an ominous, allegorical terror becomes literal and a little silly. Uneven, but the scares outweigh the parts that don’t work and Jessica Chastain is having fun being super-duper creepy. My review is at @thewrap.com!
