I'm watching The Hunger Games, it turns out that I've only seen the first one, but did they ramp up the romance between Katniss and Gale? I don't remember the books having her really have a romance with Gale. I feel like I'm going to have to reread now as it's been a while

When Amazon is drunk... There is no dark fantasy or horror included in Arcane Connection. #booksky

Screenshot of categories Arcane Connection is currently linked to on the Kindle store. Highlight of Dark Fantasy Horror as this book is not that genre.

My little sales are slowly going up from my release yesterday 🥺 It's still a very small number but any sale I make as a small indie author, who also doesn't use KU, makes such a massive difference to me #booksky #writerslife #writingcommunity

I’ll say it again: the key theme of the last decade boils down to “a lot of people we assumed (and were told) were very smart and competent, are, in fact, as dumb as a sack of boiled eels.”

This is basically the current historical sequence we are living in. Someone produces a product or service that makes a profit; finance or hedge funds take notice and take over with the idea that they could make more money; things gets worse; and then DEI is blamed as the most immediate scapegoat.

Also, they never do try to run government like a business. If they did, they'd shut down many red states for being an unprofitable drain on resources, sell California to Japan for a short-term profit bump, and merge the Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho into one state to streamline management.

Writing is a skill. Sculpting is a skill. Drawing is a skill. Acting is a skill. Skills can be learned, honed, perfected. While there are people using AI as accessibility devices, the majority using them just don't want to do the work. They want to farm the people who DID invest the time.

There is something thoroughly dead-souled about the idea of ordering art like you build your own spicy rice bowl at Tex-Mex place. Just a basic misunderstanding of what art is supposed to do in the world, and your head and heart.

I might be in the middle of edits for one book, but I have definitely just sat and word-vomited ideas for a new trilogy idea that I woke up with. It's very base bone ideas at the moment, but tempted to rough/fast draft them to get the full story out #writing #writingcommunity
