I just spent hours helping my 80-ish parents reorder birth certificates, a marriage license and a social security card from states they don't live in. They had tried and failed many times. Cost was over $70. Processing time in some states is over 100 days already. Tell me how this isn't a hardship?!

Legally here on a work permit. Arrested when he went to renew it. Not fighting his deportation. Yet he's been in detention 29 days. No access to a lawyer. Has been given no information about his case. Family inquiries also ignored. ICE only responded when local news requested comment.

I don't think people understand that if you shut down the government, ICE and CBP do NOT shut down. They're funded by supplemental money from the BBB. That's why dems are separating the DHS funding bill and asking for restrictions. I want them to demand a rescission of that funding or shut DHS down

Yes - until you see it firsthand, it’s hard to understand how upsetting and enraging it is to see these guys operate in your community. They are dressed for war, they beat civilians up, they openly antagonize neighbors, they’re masked, they carry people away. Everyone is livid at every scene.

About 90 minutes into the livestream at 11:30 p.m. — 15 minutes before the fatal shooting — the following exchange with police occurs as Rittenhouse and another armed man walk outside a business.

Police officer (over a loudspeaker): "You need water? Seriously. (unintelligible) You need water?"

Rittenhouse, raising his arm and walking toward the police vehicle: "We need water."

Police officer: "We’ll throw you one."

Rittenhouse then walks out into the street amid several police vehicles, holding his hand in the air for a water bottle. An officer surfaces from a hatch at the top of the police vehicle and tosses a water bottle to a person located just out of the camera’s view, where Rittenhouse would likely be standing based on the preceding footage.

Police officer: "We got a couple. We’ve got to save a couple, but we’ll give you a couple. We appreciate you guys, we really do."

Jonathan Ross *is* ICE training. He’s the person who trains ICE officers. They send ICE officers *to him* to be trained. If they increase the training from 47 stupid days, the ICE officers get more Jonathon Ross days. I can’t understand why scared Dems fail to see this basic fact.

It’s hard to accurately describe what is happening in Minneapolis without sounding crazy. Unmarked rental vans all over the city, with people in military gear and no id jumping out of them to take captive anyone who looks nonwhite or who makes political speech they disagree with.

NOEM IS LYING. I have seen people get taken! It was the same each time: armed men racing out of a blacked-out SUV, seizing a screaming or fleeing pedestrian, and pulling them into the car without any attempt to even learn their identity. Always a person alone on the street. Always a person of color.

The actual story is that a family of American citizens trying to evacuate from a neighborhood that ICE had made unsafe, and then ICE tossed munitions into the car, causing three kids to be hospitalized and a six month old to stop breathing. DHS called the family “radical agitators”

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.
