Say what you will about the global geopolitical landscape, we made it to August 4, 2026 without the nuclear war Ray Bradbury predicted in There Will Come Soft Rains. I'm taking that as a win today.

Why daylight saving time is worse for your body than standard time
Daylight saving time gives us more light at the end of the day to enjoy spring and summer activities, but it can have a negative impact on our health.

It looks like voters are angry with Republicans. They will consider voting for Democrats or won't vote. It would be a shame not to nominate a Democrat for every open position. The Democratic Party has the power to reduce qualification fees for first time candidates. Do it and fundraise on it.

1. DNS lookups for both URLs to see if they resolve to the same IP 2. If either DNS lookup fails, do a case-insensitive textual comparison of the URLs 3. If that fails, check if they're both null 4. If that fails, then they're not equal.

AI is really good at faking empathy and since that’s often a part of therapy, people might think it’s working. But if it tells you what you want to hear, it enforces a false reality and can make you literally psychotic. A good tip is if a therapist (AI or human) never challenges you, get a new one.
