The Ryan Reynolds “problem” - from a critical perspective - is that his type of humor was slightly outside the mainstream for a while, and many wondered why he didn’t explode, until suddenly that humor was everywhere and obnoxious and of course made it possible for him to be a huge obnoxious star.
