OK, here's one: this is Scambus pomorum. It develops inside a weevil, inside apple blossoms. The adult is about 0.5cm long & after emerging has to survive on its own for 10 months, through European summer then winter. So this flimsy thing turns predatory, catching other insects & nomming them!
