Not to be "what did you expect" but it was incredibly obvious that this would happen as soon as it came out how the bill was worded. If anything he'll use it to put 500% tariffs on the European countries that still get gas from Russia while not applying it to China and India who buy a lot more.

Gaaaahhh it’s so infuriating seeing this happen all over! Just earlier this year I described a bunch of new species from TMAG specimens, and everywhere is already cut to the bone.

Working on a plant-insect relationships lecture and found something new to me. Midgley et al (2015) (doi.org/10.1038/npla...) reported a smelly, dung-mimicking seed that is primarily dispersed by deceived dung beetles! 'a' and 'b' below are Ceratocaryum seeds. 'g' is the beetles' typical target

This is where Hawaii is headed as well. There has been a little regrowth since the mass harvest of the early 19th century, but now there are proposals to log some of the last old-growth trees by claiming planted trees will regrow in unrealistic timeframes.

Besides everything else, the age of Alito and Thomas (and health of Roberts) means that if they unite to block Trump appointments – an easier lift than court expansion – a big shift in the court is possible by 2029, which is the earliest it could happen anyway.

Yes, having had to go through this process and about to undergo it again, it’s absolutely more important. Also, consider listening to people if they tell you that the limiting factor is not the ability to analyze the data! Because otherwise even a perfectly correct ai will give bad outputs.

Seems to confirm my immediate thought that they put a “$15,000” price tag on it because they thought nobody would actually pay that.
But there is a price tag -
So many people asked about it that we had put a price on it, but we talked to the creator when he came
to fix the machine, and if someone showed serious interest, we would reach out to him abret getting them an automaton. As you've noticed, we've raised the price due to popular demand. It now costs
$15 million.

Even before you get to the technical dumbshittery there's a pretty big problem right here
“We need to have unified command and control. We need to have unified information sharing. You need to have every sensor be a sensor for every effector and vice versa. You can’t have these stove pipes across systems, across services, and especially across our ally and partner forces. We want everyone to be able to share everything,” he said.

Title: Evaluation of Eggs and Meat Quality of Biofield Energy-treated Rhode Island Red Laying Hens

Overall comments

This poultry research study presents a fascinating and innovative alternative, blessing/biofield energy treatment to enhance the eggs and meat quality, and sensory characteristics of Rhode Island Red hens' samples. The outcomes suggest that blessing energy treatment may be a promising new alternative strategy for better poultry production. The overall execution of the study appears to be well-organized and methodical; however, it is unclear why the authors did not mention the ethics statement of this study. I assume that this was a small-scale pilot study (n=50) conducted to observe the effects of blessing energy treatment on eggs and the meat quality of Rhode Island Red Hens. I suggest that the authors do a major revision of this manuscript by incorporating the following major comments.

Major Comments
Page 3 of 25: Title: After careful reading & reviewing, I think it is better to modify and restructure the title for this manuscript. I observe that the blessing treatment was mentioned in the study design, Figure 1. Therefore, it would be better to add a blessing word instead of biofield or put both words in the title. Only then would the title be justifiable.

Page 3 of 25: Abstract: The authors should completely modify/restructure the abstract.

Page 4 of 25: Introduction:
“In this context, it is assumed that complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapy, like biofield (blessing) energy treatment, would improve the nutritional quality of eggs and meats. The [remove for peer review] is a unique and inherent biofield energy therapy approach….” The rationale point is not properly linked in this paragraph. It should be restructured and modified.

This exceptionally well-crafted research appears to be an excellent fit for the Veterinary Medicine and Science Journal, thanks to its innovative application and pertinent relevance to the field. The study concept and design are robust and carefully performed, and the findings have significant implications for enhancing egg quality traits and the meat quality of Rhode Island Red hens. This study is quite interesting, and its outcomes are impressive. The discussion and conclusion are articulated with clarity and precision, making them easily understandable to the reader. Nonetheless, I have identified some concerns and suggestions which I mention below.

Manuscript Title: It draws my attention, but given the content and treatment strategy in this manuscript, I suggest changing the title to something more fitting for this study.

General Queries and minor comments
Q1. What was the rationale behind constructing this study?
Q2: Is the Trivedi effect, also known as blessing energy treatment?
Q3: Does the blessing therapy demonstrate an effect on livestock growth? Cite suitable reference(s).
Q4: Can these results be reproducible?
Q5: The article does not contain an ethics statement, and it is to be mentioned.
Q6: The authors can explain the possible mode of action regarding the effectiveness of blessing/biofield energy therapy on poultry farming.
Q7: Authors frequently used blessing and biofield throughout the manuscript, as per my suggestion make it uniform either blessing or biofield.

Recommendation: Minor revisions are required before acceptance.

IIRC Shirer talks about it in Collapse of the Third Republic, it may have been through 37 but I think not later than that. But of course they were constantly worried about Mussolini simply flaking out and losing heart.

People always think of Italian Fascism and Nazism as two peas in a pod, but as late as 1936 Mussolini was considering allying with France against Germany.

Did she actually say "when I moved to China" or just "I moved to China"? The first I saw mentioned had the latter, and in the video I couldn't hear what she said at all. That sounds like an excuse for not taking it rather than an outright lie, obviously not that she's beyond that.

When the Republican party can get a majority half the time nationwide, then the problem is the country, not that "the only places those people win are gerrymandered districts or specific states."
