This is a big deal. DC fed judge says that DOJ's pursuit (and use) of the state voter files is unlawful, on a bunch of different grounds. And effectively confirms that for the 18 states that submitted files willingly, whoever collected the files at DOJ Civil Rights committed federal crimes.

Today would’ve been my friend Tom Matano’s 79th birthday. Tom designed cars like the NA Miata, NB Miata, and FD RX-7. If you love Miatas, you have him to thank for many things that make them special. It’s important to remember people. Thank you for remembering Tom with me today

As first observed by Mike Myzak, Gheesling’s average viewership has dropped precipitously in the past month, falling by a whopping 71.5%, from 1,079 concurrent viewers in September to just 308 in October, according to third-party analytics site Twitch Tracker. While Gheesling did take some time off following the controversy in September, he’s been consistent in October, streaming several hours per day for most of this month. Where Gheesling used to regularly play multiplayer games with Letourneau and a rotating cast of friends (in addition to streaming on his own), he’s since been cut loose from that crew. One can infer, then, that the viewership drop is a direct result of Gheesling’s decision to stream with the US Army.

The Woke are coming off a down season but the core remains intact and they've called up some young talent. Advanced metrics suggest their stars were underperforming their peripherals for much of the summer. Expect contention as early as next season if they sign some high heat relief over the winter

Also, there is tension and drama to be squeezed out of Ms. White's forced exposure to the outside world, but as it stands her objections seem reasonable. That is a very deliberate choice and, boy, does it not work!

040

J. Kiyoshi Kurosawabury @kislingconnection.bsky.social · 13h

000

J. Kiyoshi Kurosawabury @kislingconnection.bsky.social · 13h

There are two main issues with Carrie (2026) A) I have an insane, impossible image of that story in my head and any adaptation will always disappoint me and B) None of the non-Carrie stuff is good enough to overcome the changes. But I hope I'm wrong! Maybe Mike will pull it all off by ep 8.

100

J. Kiyoshi Kurosawabury @kislingconnection.bsky.social · 13h

Also, Ms. White was already sympathetic. She was weak and abused just like Carrie and, like her daughter, was unable to navigate a world with these sins weighing on her. You don't need all this shit where, oh no, she has to work retail. Such bizarre choices.

J. Kiyoshi Kurosawabury @kislingconnection.bsky.social · 14h

Carrie might be a complex, but this is not complicated!
