everyday on this website I encounter unwell people making dangerous claims like “I’m going to play through the entire 3DO library” and instead of directing these individuals to emergency services or calling local authorities, other users of this site celebrate them, reenforcing unhealthy behaviors

we’re back with more anime. some OOP DVDs, and a MediaOCD delivery. the Lupin Blu-rays will replace my DVDs, apparently these specific ones have a lot of improvements besides just resolution. excited to watch those a third time

ladies and gentlemen: we got ‘em. all 52 episodes of You’re Under Arrest (1994-97). they’re not in the best condition in the world, but it’ll do. the liner notes are all there, and i managed it for under $300. also got Anthology for a good price, figured it was worth a shot

perfect article that encapsulates my feelings on the whole series. i had never tried it until after 6 was out, when of course i started playing 2 and fell in love with it. the fun and technical prowess of 2 and 3 on the xbox hold up impossibly well today. extremely “one more round” game

I would like to see more companies admit this - being a public company no longer means running a successful, thriving business. It strictly means delivering growth to investors, every single quarter, who do not care at all about the product the company sells or the people who produce it.

reposting this today for no reason at all. it doesn’t solve anything systemic in games or other industries, but doing what you can to be a person who owns physical media protects your legal access to it in the future. lot of asterisks here, of course

I spent a bunch of the day yesterday making a list of all the out-of-print anime I want to buy. My advice to anyone thinking of buying current physical media is: wait for ~1 good sale and then actually buy it. Being in print is a *temporary* state that may last less time than you think
