Goodbye tatoushi kimono storage, you will NOT be missed. It's silly to store regular wool/linen/cotton clothes in archival Tyvek and acid-free paper. I also got rid of everything that was too jiichan-coded or fit poorly.

Final Art, 3-color screen print: white kicker on red paper, followed with a blue that will be electric or brown depending on where it layers over the white, and then a black keyline to nail it all down. Fingers crossed this all works.

A last glamour shot of the inside of the oven before I close it up. I designed the rack as individual rods to be easily removable through the oven door when it's time to vacuum fly-ash. The white lid is a sheet of ceramic fiberboard insulation to maintain heat and protect the concrete counter.

I finally watched the last episode of Sayonara, Lara and I think it was fine for what it is, ie a product of a conservative society where the vaaaaaaast majority of queer people are subject to compulsory heterosexuality and any representation outside that that isn't just fetish fuel is a rep win.

The Facial Expressions of Tethys by artist Julius von Bismarck. A suspended high-sea buoy that moves in real time. Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

My least favorite activity, sand and fill and sand and fill and sand and fill and sand et cetera. I squeegeed over the big holes with mortar and I'm trying to fill the little holes by wet-sanding with lithium silicate and smooshing the resultant cementitious mud around.

Genuinely afraid Tatsu might have brain damage. I asked them to bring me the blowtorch from the kura so we could light damp/old katori senko and found them out in the yard holding the incense coil in one hand and pointing the FLAMETHROWER at it with their other hand.
