Bhante Buddharakkhita was the first 1-on-1 teacher I ever talked to at my first retreat. He graciously answered my questions about suffering from disability, though not in the way I expected. I still think about it. He was warm and funny, and I hope he gets this chance to share his wisdom.

This girl I used to waitress with in Austin, we moved to New York together in 2003 on a literal Greyhound bus. Shared a fifth floor walk-up studio that, when it rained, had more leaks in the ceiling than we had pots and pans. We used to get drunk and smoke off the fire escape and do “sad-offs.”

Sad to see a lot of former investigative journalists I respect, who have done good work in other areas, completely dropping the ball with AI. There are real problems with the tech that are getting ignored because of strawmen, and real benefits that are ignored because they’re uncomfortable.

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.
